    Kevin,

    Happy Valentine’s Day!

“What is worth living for, and what is worth dying for? The answer to each is the same. Only love” – Don Juan deMarco

To the degree we struggle is the degree to which we have held back our love for ourselves and others.

Thank you for your wonderful and poignant Valentine’s Day post.

I remember the old Beatles song – Love Is All You Need. (Anyway, I think it’s from the Beatles.) Well, maybe it’s not all, but it sure is essential. Thanks for reminding us – love in so many directions.

Thank you for the statement of celebration – inspiring! The more we can love ourselves, the easier it is to love others, come from our heart of passion, be compassionate and blaze a new path that will change and rock our world. Thank you for your message. Happy Valentines day!

    Hi Kevin,

Good to see you joining the movement to bring love into the marketplace.

As you know, we published our book in May 2009,
“The Heart of Marketing: Love Your Customers and They Will Love You Back”
    on just that theme.

Yes there is an evolution going on in consciousness that will bring love deeper into all quarters of our lives. And the marketplace needs that love more than any other sector so we can all live better lives.

As our slogan goes, “market with consciousness and conscience,” caring for your customer and yourself as you build your business within the community that supports us all.

Because It’s All in the Connection

      Judith and Jim!
GREAT to hear from you! YES I even just conducted an event called LOVE your Clients, LOVE your Business, LOVE your Life! It was so much fun. ALSO many people don’t realize that love is much more than the soft, caressing emotion – and also encompasses a commitment to confront with TRUTH and to commit to nakedness and transparency rather than to pretense and facade!
I’m so grateful for your wonderful spirit and example to follow!

This statement really struck me- it is almost exactly the way I describe to people why I left a corporate job that I adored to start my own venture.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    The degree to which you LOVE your mission will determine your IMPACT in lifting this universe higher and becoming a force for good in YOUR own world – in YOUR own way
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Thank you for sharing your thoughts in the blog. I never want to be a GURU- I always want to be a MENTOR. Everyone gets the choice. I choose connection to the Universe, to my purpose, and to the people around me.

    Hi Kevin,

What a beautiful post. Your passion and commitment in your business is evident and inspirational.

I’ve experienced the necessity of self-love. Balance is key — to take a step back from the business and rejuvenate, so that I can have a positive impact with my clients and grow effectively online is invaluable.

    Happy Valentine’s Day!

    Hi Kevin,
Love from the UK, on it’s way!

When you visit Normandy & Brittany (Northern France), they bring you your cappuccino in a tall glass topped with gorgeous whipped cream and a long straw! At first I thought “how bizarre” but when I drank the coffee through the straw I understood – you get the full delicious flavour directly onto your toungue. A wonderful experience and a great metaphor for life, or what????!!

Those French people know a thing or two about love – they even put it in their food.

    Enjoy,
    Dave

      Yessir Dave!

“Getting the full delicious flavor right where we can enjoy it most!”

That is life – some want to defend why it ISN’T happening for them. I say – JUST GO FOR IT!

      Thanks for your comments!

    Thanks for the reminder Kevin!!!

Today is the day to stop and smell the roses. Appreciate the small things in life that enable us to live in such a large way.

Loved the idea of drinking it all in with a straw as to devour. People tend to exist and constantly are on the look out for happiness – it doesn’t work like that. Live each day and tell the universe that you are psyched to welcome the gifts it will bestow on you.

Thanks for the mile high questions – thought provoking and insightful.

    Hi Kevin!
    Nice and dangerous insight!
A “fast” reader won’t realise the whole picture, I think.
Some lack of self-esteem and pride in what we are doing won’t provide that food on the table and small tokens of appreciation (bought or hand made) for the loved ones, whenever we want to make it happen.
Happy Valentines Day to you and family, too!
    Best wishes,
    PT

Abandon is ALWAYS dangerous Paulo – that’s what makes it SO FUN!
The risk of being ‘on the line’ for what you want is such a dangerous (and delicious) predicament!
      Enjoy your day!

    YESSSSSS!

I think most people begin their business from a place of passion and then fall out of love when they hit obstacle after obstacle.

They think of leaving their biz but really the love is still there if they just change the way they are DOING their business.

    Love is a BEING thing.

A good that the LOVE Doctor is in.;-) Have a fab day, Kevin!

Obstacle = Opportunity to prove our commitment to our mission. The higher the level of PLAY – the more obstacles we ATTRACT to ourselves!
It’s no mystery that we have obstacles. They are INVITED OPPORTUNITIES to show we’re playing big!

Thanks Kevin for your inspiring post. It highlights the importance of doing work you love as well as the importance of showering yourself with love.

For love is expansive and so when doing work you love you’ll automatically give more to it giving it a greater opportunity to flourish. And, if you pamper yourself with love then your light will shine brighter in this world making it a better place.

      Feb 14th, 2010

Nickolove (Dang fine name for today if I say so myself!)
Pampering yourself in EVERY way is the #1 path to wealth. Whether slicing an apple and serving it to yourself on the best china you have or taking that extra moment when the sun hits your face on the way to the car first thing in the morning to stand in the rays and allow it to WASH you with awesomeness.
Pampering is NEARLY free. It only costs a choice here and there to indulge the perfect moments that come up naturally and to invite more instead of just blowing through them as if they aren’t DIVINE!

    Kevin,

    Right back atcha!

Love is at the heart of business — the most powerful tool available to meet our most human needs.

We’re waking up from our enchantment with money and looking money and business now in a larger context.

The great monologue The Last Cargo Cult compares Wall Street worship of finance to primitive Pacific islanders worship of lost cargo from Western freighters. Both share a closed-loop kind of thinking that is divorced from larger considerations.

The reality is that business — trade — is more about meeting human needs than it is about dog-eat-dog dominance. (We leave that for politics, war by other means).

Business at its best is a stabilizing force in the world. Trading relationships knit us together. Entrepreneurs innovate and show us new ways to live. Service providers help us increase the value of our time here on earth, in all senses of the word.

The tools to create a business along those lines are now in the hands of the individual business owner, entrepreneur, consultant, coach. Many brilliant writers (Seth Godin, Chris Brogan, Jeremy Rifkin)) are mapping out this nascent iteration in business.

Kevin — you are helping me and many others actually make this vision come to life in our own businesses. You have the gift of teaching so that your students can hear and apply your ideas immediately, in our own way, to fuel our own businesses.

I continue to learn from you and consider you a singularly important mentor in my business life.

    Kind regards,
    Susan

    Kevin,

I appreciate your sharing of love in this way. Our foundation is Self-love, and we love our Self as if nothing else mattered. This love is a state of being and requires nothing to do, only that which to be. Love is not something that is acquired, it is a natural flow from our state of being to the so-called activity we’re engaged in…one steady stream from the “big straw” as you say :) .

We don’t “do” anything to get love in return for love is totally unconditional. Circumstances don’t matter, only state of being matters. I am love, and from this I am, the synchronistic experiences of the Universe line up.

As Deepak Chopra says, “I appreciate mySelf exactly how I am, and I require nothing different to complete this love because I am already complete.”

Thanks, Kevin, I appreciate your message of love, and allowing me the opportunity to convey what love means to me.

Love, laughter and somersaults on freshly mowed grass,

    Tami
